On this 'seconds' the background has some pale blue flecks where the textured paper has absorbed the solution. Rather a nice effect and the image is a stronger blue than pictured with crisper detail of the Cow Parsley design. It is a slightly more tapered candle holder than pictured here.
 
The distinctive silhouette of a Blackbird resting on a branch is captured on this contemporary tea light holder. When the candle is lit the light flickers through bringing the image to life!
 
Created using the old photographic process of Cyanotype. A light sensitive solution is applied to a delicate textured paper, a large format negative laid on then exposed to sunlight, the solution is then rinsed off and the paper dried, fixing the image. To make these candle holders the paper is then applied to glass.
