Enchanting large decorative cylinder vase depicting a deep blue starry night seen through delicate tree branches. Created by applying a Cyanotype on delicate textured paper to glass. Looks stunning with fairy lights inside!
 
To create the Cyanotype image a light sensitive solution is applied to paper, a large format negative laid on then exposed to sunlight, the solution is then rinsed off and the paper dried, fixing the image. To make these vases the paper is then applied to glass. The thinness of the paper allows the light to shine through the image when using fairy lights inside.
Please note the outside of the vase is paper so preferably just display dried seed heads, dried flowers or fairy lights inside. Battery powered fairy lights (as pictured) work well. I use rechargeable batteries.
